About the work

Who writes here, how we think about Excel and Access in production, and what you can expect from the articles—written for teams who ship, not for slides.

My name is Rajan, and I’ve been working in data consulting since 2012. Over the years, I’ve focused on helping businesses get more out of the tools they already use, mainly Excel, VBA, and Microsoft Access. What started as solving small spreadsheet issues gradually turned into building complete systems that businesses rely on daily.

I’ve worked with different types of clients, from individuals managing their own workflows to teams handling large volumes of data. Despite the differences, the core problems are usually the same, too much manual work, inefficient processes, and systems that become difficult to maintain over time. My work revolves around simplifying these systems and making them reliable.

I don’t approach Excel or Access as just tools. I look at them as a way to build structured, practical solutions. Whether it’s automating repetitive tasks using VBA or designing a proper database in Access, the goal is always the same—to save time, reduce errors, and make things easier to manage.

Over time, I’ve developed a strong preference for building systems that are simple, scalable, and easy for others to understand. I’ve seen how overly complex solutions fail in real-world use, so I focus on clarity and long-term usability rather than quick fixes.

Through this blog, I’m sharing what I’ve learned from real projects, things that actually work in practical situations. My aim is to help others improve their workflows, learn useful skills, and build systems that they can rely on confidently.
